DAY: 8
STEP COUNT: 4,409
WEATHER HIGH: 87F
Today I did nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. This was our first full day in Hurghada and there was a yacht boat ride scheduled for us. The boat itinerary included snorkeling, lunch, and some over aquatic adventures. For one, I have a cast on my foot that I cannot get wet which means I would have to stay on the boat the entire time, so that was a reason not to attend. Second, we have been walking so much this trip that all I wanted to go was just sit and relax fully for two days before a big day of travel back home Saturday early morning. Third, it was just a very beautiful day out and I wanted to take in the weather and what the hotel has to offer at this all-inclusive resort. It also allowed me to catch up on all my blog post.
While everyone else was out at sea, here is how my day went. First, I started by heading to breakfast for a late breakfast. My breakfast included croissants, omelet, potatoes, and orange juice. From there, I walked to the beach and land on a beach lounger with the intention of writing today’s blog and catching up with some YouTube shows. Instead, I went back to sleep on the beach for an hour. The sounds of the wind and seas really put me to sleep. It sounded like my sleep sounds but just in real life. After my long one-hour beach nap, I proceed to go and get me a well needed massage. After all the walking we have done over the past 7 days, injuring my foot forcing me to apply more pressure on my left leg, the massage did wonders. I purchased a full body medical massage at medium/hard pressure. This is my second time having a massage in a different country, and something hat amazes me is how these small little women can apply so much pressure to your body and contort you all which ways. My massage lady got up on the table, twisted and stretched me every which way. Once baby girl revitalizes me and my legs, I headed to lunch where I ate chicken, rice, spaghetti, and potatoes. I then sat on the terrace, drank several drinks, and made my way back to the pool to take another nap.
For the rest of the day, I did nothing but sleep, drink, eat. That was my type of day and I think my foot really needed that recovery because it feels complete better and very little pain if not none at all. The goal is to remove the cast tomorrow so I can get in the pool and do the other things on the island with a little pressure while wearing a brace on it. Then when I am done with the water, I will wrap it back up. Everyone that came back from the boat ride said it was nice and that they saw several coral reefs, fishes, and visited small islands. I’ll insert some photos of what they saw so you all get an idea of what the sea and water life looked like.
The last ting that happened last night was kids’ karaoke, a kafir show, and a disco club in the lobby of the hotel. Because I was so exhausted from all my active activities in the day, lol, I did not make it to the disco club and went straight to my room and went to sleep. I did hear about a lady that the group met at the disco. I have included a video of one that someone had took of here and it is hilarious. When on vacation, I am oddly a morning person than a late-night person. I love drinking throughout the day and doing day activities more than at night. Can't tell you why. But anyways, talk to you tomorrow……Laters, Gators.
